Working with Spaceworks Tacoma was such a great experience. In this design, I wanted to represent the birds and gardens in the neighborhood. I also have the Mt. Rainier featured prominently at the top of the design. I like to include birds in my mural designs as it brings awareness to the types of birds that you can see in your own community. Birdwatching is an activity you can do wherever you are and I hope to encourage people to join in the fun. This type of engagement is especially meaningful in marginalized communities where people may not otherwise have easy access to nature.
